Glass Nectar Collectors and Electric Nectar Collectors
What are Nectar Collectors? One of the possible reasons why they are less popular than the infamous dab rig is may be people know less about them.
What are Nectar Collectors
There are a couple of ways for one to enjoy wax concentrates. A nectar collector is the simpler and more straightforward version of a dab rig when it comes to vaporizing concentrates. For beginners, it may be a complicated device. Why not just use a dab rig, right? It definitely looks like it is more user-friendly. Just load and hit. While dab rigs have many types and parts, a nectar collector has to only have three parts. Both have the traditional type and the more modern and electronic type. With the traditional dab rig, you'll need to load materials into it. They are unique in a way that you won't need to load it. They are equipped with a collector tip or dabbing tool. The electric versions of the two use built-in batteries and thanks to vape companies today, such as Yocan and The Kind Pen, electric nectar collectors today are much more sophisticated, portable, and stylish.
Glass Nectar Collectors
A traditional glass nectar collector basically has three parts that you connect together to make up one. These are the Quartz or Titanium Tip, the Recycler Body, and the Mouthpiece tube. The Quartz or Titanium Tip is the part of the piece that is used to "collect" your material after your torch heats it up. The Recycler Body is the part that is filled with water and is basically the filtration system of your nectar collector. Of course, one has to have a Mouthpiece Tube. It is advisable to have a long mouthpiece to make sure heat has subsided once the smoke enters your mouth.
How to Use a Glass Nectar Collector
Electric Nectar Collectors
An electric nectar collector (also called Honey Straw or Dab Vape Pen) is totally different compared to the traditional one. Electric nectar collectors are designed to be more convenient and sometimes, to have a dual purpose. Besides it being powered by a built-in battery, its make differs significantly. To be more portable, electric nectar collectors are usually minuscule in size and usually comes in different colors so customers would have more options for personalization.
Another major difference between a traditional and an electric nectar collector is the necessity of a torch. Torchers are usually bulky which makes it inconvenient to bring outside the home. Since an electric nectar collector is run by a built-in rechargeable battery, the heat will come from the device itself. Compared to when using a traditional nectar collector, you won't need to carry a torch with it. As mentioned earlier, it is equipped with a dab tip or dab tool. The device is used by dragging the heating tip over the wax concentrate to vaporize it. This being said, it is necessary that you take your wax concentrate and carry it in a container.
How to Use an Electric Nectar Collector
There are a few ways you can choose from when it comes to enjoying your wax concentrates. Of course, nothing beats the dab rig. However, a nectar collector is surely one way to consider, as it is most convenient to use when you are hanging out either alone or with friends at home. An electric nectar collector is even more advisable if you are out and on-the-go.
